About Sam Jones
Sam began his career as a dog trainer, behavior counselor, and training class instructor in 1995 where he worked at the internationally renowned St. Hubert’s Dog Training School in Madison, New Jersey. At this same time, Sam started his own business “Humane Train” taking referrals from many veterinarians in Northern New Jersey.
Moving “Humane Train” to the Traverse City area in 2000, Sam brought his lifelong love and appreciation of animals, as well as his patience, enthusiasm, and humane, supportive approach to dog training.
Sam currently helps over 500 students and their dogs in 55 or more Training Classes each year and spends his days running "Happy Tails Doggie Daycare Center" where he gets to play with 25 dogs each day in his indoor playground for dogs.
Sam continues to work closely with his Newfoundland, "Eva" in Water Rescue & Draft work, and he spends many hours loving his adopted Chi-Hua-Hua/Boston Terrier Mix "Amelia"!
About Jennifer Loup
Jen came to Humane Train in 2007 and has been an invaluable addition to our training staff. Her warm, confident, and enthusiastic demeanor is a perfect combination for a dog trainer, behavior counselor, and training class instructor.

There she honed her observational skills and her attention to detail, as well as learning how to best care for the day to day needs of many different animals.
Jen also operates her own pet sitting business, Canis Major Pets, as well as covering all of Humane Train's In-Home 1 on 1 training and behavior counseling.
Jen lives her life with four wonderful dogs; "Milo", a Great Pyrenees/Golden Retriever mix, "Cypress", a purebred adopted Great Pyrenees, "Chica" an adopted Mexican street dog, and "Solo" an adopted German Shepard mix.
